[T3] Is it worth reinstalling the F.I?
<x-flowed>When we got got our Fastback three or so years ago, the original fuel
injection had been removed, and what parts remained came in a separate
box. For the time we drove the car, it ran on dual Solexes. Soon I
will be pulling the motor out for a rebuild, which brings me to a
question. Is it really worth gathering the missing parts (there are
many) and trying to get the F.I. set up working again? I have stuff
like the entire intake assembly, the brain, and a bunch of sensors, all
of an unknown quality. In the "needs" column are fuel injectors, a fuel
pump, a new gas tank (when I had the tank cleaned out I had them solder
up the return inlet), and F.I. distributor, and an air cleaner, at the
very least.
I have all the parts to install dual Dell 36s. I'm still torn between a
restoration and resto-mod. What should I do?
Thanks,
Jim
