I put the battery on the charger overnight. This morning it was at 12.6V. While warming the car up in the driveway my voltage readings at the battery would rise with RPMs even though the generator light would glow a little as RPMs rose. Once the car warmed up the generator light went off. But here's what I don't understand - I drove to work with the headlights and wipers on (not as a test, it was dark and rainy :)). The generator light did not glow but my voltage reading at the battery slowly went down until it got to 11.6V. Engine speed did not seem to effect this reading. When I got to work and shut off the wipers and lights the reading slowly came up above 12V but again, reving the engine did not significantly change the reading.
