[T3] rear fender compatibility

I know this question has come up before, but here we go again.  I put an add on The Samba for a left rear fender for my 69 fastback.  I got very few responses.  One responder said he had a left rear fender for a 71 but didn't know if it was the same as the 69 fenders.  Another responder said he had a left rear fender for a 69 squareback or notchback (I don't remember which).  Will either of these work?  Is a rear fender for a 71 Fastback the same as the 69?  Will a notchback or squareback rear fender work (without modification) on a fastback of the same year?
