The D-jet however, is completely analog, fine tuneable, and pretty much bulletproof, since it's already been around for 30+ years. The only real trouble spot with the D-jet is the fragile wiring harness, as most of them have gotten brittle by now. Paul Anders (site is listed above) rebuilds (remakes) these for the Porsche 914 crowd, and has offered to do the same on the Samba, as the 914 also uses the D-jet (for part of it's run). They aren't cheap, but they are out there. : ) Bob 65 Notch S w/ Sunroof 71 Square, Formerly a 2 seat Roadster, now a T-3 Heb, pics can be seen at; http://volksrods.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2977 69 Square, currently awaiting a 2.0L t-4 engine transplant ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
