<x-flowed>Hi all,
I've been away for a couple of days, so apologies for the late reply.
To fix the groove in the driveplate hub, I used a "Speedi Sleeve", as
recommended by Jim. They come in a huge number of sizes, and you basically
just knock them on with a hammer. The final result is very impressive.
Did the sleeve go on easily? Was there any trouble or was it easy? I've never
used one, so I'd really like to know how heart-stopping this might be.
Installation was simply a matter of knocking it on with a rubber mallet.
This is our home made driveplate lock.

I REALLY like your lock. Could you have turned the drive plate 60 deg and engaged 2 holes in it?
We started the engine, and gradually topped up the tranny following Russ's
instructions.
Did you check the final drive gear oil level? Perhaps you did that earlier, but
it's always a good idea to watch it, especially with an old car like this where
you don't know how much it might leak.
