No, just remove the air cleaner and go in under the intake air runners. Use a 
socket, about 9" of extension, and a ratchet. It's easy

I would suspect starter bushing trouble. It may be easier to just replace the 
bushing than to try to check it. It does require some special tools to get it 
in and out, however.
