No. Its struggling to get above 25*C and we're in the height
of summer! And I live on the "sunny south coast".

I used a wallpaper scraper type of tool.
The tar is quite brittle when cold - mostly it cracked and the boards came up
intact with only a few patches of tar left on the pans.

They need a good bond to the floor otherwise they won't properly
damp the resonances in the panels. Just laying there they aren't
properly coupled to the floor.

I may "glue" them with guttering mastic. ISRT others mentioning
this approach before. This would be safer than flames & heat!
