I've been using this style of synchro tool sonce 1989. For use on stock Solex
T-3 dual carbs, I use a main engine bearing with the center oil groove sealed
with electical tape. This has been working fine for all these years. I use a
dedicated used bearing that I had laying around from a previous tear down. : )
