I learn something every day (and not 'cos I keep forgetting it!). The later bumper bolts have two lengths - 15mm and 20mm, depending on whether they are used on the arm of the bracket nearer the centre of the car or the outer part. The ones to the bottom of the blade are the short ones. On the early bumpers, one each side is given as 8mm x 51mm. I hadn't remembered they were anything like that long; I suppose the rounded face of the bumper needs quite a gap. It's been a while since I had a rounded bumper Type 3. Someone got a good deal on UK E-bay yesterday - a NOS rear rounded bumper for £82 (about $150). They were selling for more like £150 some years ago, and it would probably cost nearer £200 to have one re-chromed properly. Dave.
