Yep. I have a mid-July '71 with the early calipers (one bleeder). >>

Yup, my neighbors t-3 Square panel custom is a "late" 71, with ALL the 72
stuff normally found. What I mean by that is, large calipers, diagnostic box,
black faced gauges, wiring harness inside the car (instead of passing inside the
left rear fender), but the pan says 361xxx on it. It's also an automatic car.
Back when he bought it (about 15 years ago) it still had a t-4 engine out of a
bus in it (complete with their carbs), that had the floor hacked up. About 7
years ago, I swapped out the bus motor for him, as he picked up a donor Square
for the engine (I got the very much needed pan sections for my wife's car in
trade, plus some other trinkets). He ran out of money at the time to see how
the engine was, but a few weeks ago he picked up some carbs and stuff to finish
what we started.
We might send the calipers to Jim A for rebuilding, since I don't know
anybody else who does them, but I need to find out how rusty they are before
shipping them so I don't waste Jim's time. As a last result, he's looking at picking
up some new early style calipers, and converting the spindles over to use
them. I told him he'll lose some braking ability, but he doesn't seem to worried,
as the rest of the car is custom, and he's not going to put a bunch of miles
on it since he's got a few other vehicles to drive.
