Measure the distance between the two bolts that hold the calipers to the steering knuckles. If that distance is the same as on your '72, then this beam has to be a late version beam and you have a perfect replacement for yours. Once you pull yours off, keep in mind that there are still a number of valuable parts in there: steering knuclkles, torsion bars, trailing arms and bearings.
