If it's a mistake, then it's a pretty widespread one. It's a mistake. I never knew there was a flat baffle that used gaskets. All the OG engines I've taken apart just had the simple ridged baffle and NO gaskets. Adding gaskets will just raise the breather stand and make trouble for you. Use a little sealant if you like. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
