That's great, but you should probably plan to do the same thing on the right side, too. It's probably similar. > I counted 24 total, along with a bus, up there, and found that there is > scheduled to be a meeting with over 3000 Type III's next month. I spent a lot of time in Japan from '78 to '98 and in that whole time I think I saw just one type 3, which happened to be a late model dark blue fasty. > There actually is a switch on > the nose of my tranny but not a single wire to be found. I think I may have a harness for that, but I'd have to look to make sure I have all the parts. There would be a short wire, a fuse holder, then a long paired wire up to the switch and back, all ending in a Tee that connects to the wires running to each side. > Separate note: I've seen you guys talk about the Pigalle model. > Ironically, I found a Notchback a few blocks from my house that a local > has just sitting there rusting away. If so, it's hard to say how much it would be worth to restore. The red parts are probably worth less in a '68 than in a '66. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
