That's correct the front (front is front) stud is replaced by the crankcase 
temp sensor.

Okay, this is the original 68-9 location, so you need that version of the temp 
sensor. The only difference between these 2 sensors is the length of the wire. 
Replacement sensors come with the long wire, so they will work in either 
position.

The thread is an M10 x 1 thread, make sure it is okay before you get too far 
into this. That thread is also used in some small spark plugs, so taps are 
available. It's important to install the sensor before you install the muffler, 
otherwise it's really tight in there and installation is hard on the wire.
