Next time I go out there, I've going to see if I can actually fish the parking brake cable out of there before heating the drum. Maybe I can just save the cable, or maybe I can reach in there with a long screwdriver and push the release lever back a bit more to make sure it's fully released. As for the adjusting stars, I didn't even consider trying them. After all this time there's no hope of getting them to move. OTOH, I was the last one to service them, and there's SOME chance that the anti-seize I always use would still be good.... -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
