<x-flowed>Doohh.... Jim, your explanation below sounds even more likely than the rear 
hatch seal.  My generator light is flickering, the generator has visible 
sparks inside, and engine is running real rich... darkish smoke.  Exactly 
what you describe below.  Even though I knew this was something to fix, I 
didn't think the fumes would get inside the car like they are.... 
regardless, I'll address the generator first, then the seal.  Thanks
