Make sure that all 4 injector plugs are pushed in snug. You may need to take
these apart and gently squeeze the terminals to make them tight on the injector
pins. This is a job for someone experienced. It's easy for the right person to
do, but also easy to make a mess of if you're not sure of the process.

You could try just unplugging the throttle valve switch (TVS) from the right
side of the throttle valve. I've not seen a '71 go bad this way, but this is a
rather common problem in 72-3 for exactly your symptoms. If the problem goes
away then you need to look at the TVS.

Check the fuel overflow hose. If you smell gas after left turns and see it on
the ground after fillups, then you need a new hose. A broken hose will let
water and dirt into your fuel system as well as letting gas out. Both
directions are bad.
