Re: [T3] fender fit: a question

<x-flowed>All of these should be flush with one another. Maybe you ran into some problems using the rockers you used? If memory serves me they were from a square or fasty? These rockers were slightly different from the notch ones. Most differance occuring in the inner cab side profile and the notch using the 3 bolt hinges through out production. Square and Fasy rockers are the same from 66 to 73. ??

Subject: [T3] fender fit: a question

Greetings

Well, as I indicated last week we have placed the Notch shell on the pan and we're pretty pumped - it seems almost like a car. Of course, now comes the hard work, making the bits from 3 or more cars fit like they belonged together - ya right! I was looking over the photos on Samba, looking especially for the fit of the doors. Can someone tell me if there is supposed to be a cover plate on the rocker underneath the door. That is, when the front and rear fenders are bolted on they are not flush with the rocker but rather are high by at least the thickness of the skin. And when the door is mounted if it is flush with the fenders then it too will be proud of the rocker. Or should this whole thing end up flush with the rocker.

By the way, on the Samba was a photo of Tim Hesse's Notch. Does anyone know him and his e-mail? I would like to ask him a couple of questions.

Dave
