Re: [T3] Dave and Matt's Notch - Parts questions

<x-flowed>Hi Jim

OTOH, I rebuild the OE ones. If you're willing to send yours to me, I can at
least tell you whether they are worth the effort or not. Rebuilding will end up
costing you slightly more money, but there's a certain satisfaction in knowing
that you are using the best parts ever made for your brakes.

Thanks for the offer to rebuild these suckers. I have rebuilt the calipers on my Porsche and know that doing a good job with the original parts ensures great brakes. I have posted some photos of my calipers and the master cylinder for you to look at. These pics are at:

<http://www.hkin.educ.ubc.ca/sanderson/Personal/Brakes/Brakes.html>

As you can see, one half of one caliper seems completely frozen. I have been unable to get the piston out. And the others were tough as well. Let me know if you think these are salvageable and then I can figure out how to take you up on your offer. And what can I do about replacing the seals on the master cylinder. This is from the '68 and I like the dual circuit aspect and so want to use this on the car. Can I get these seals or do I just look for a rebuilt one? Thanks ...

Dave
