It's a matter of rather personal preference, but most of the gauges don't really tell you much that is useful, plus few of them are realistically calibrated. The tachs are probably the exception. They are nice and they really do fit right in the cars, but they are EXPENSIVE. I don't think they would nearly as much, except that Neil keeps driving the price up by buying all of them that appear on the market. ;-) I'll have to admit that a tack is the ONE gauge I wish I had, and still, I have to admit that it's only for bragging rights. Keith drove us nuts 2 years ago, because sometimes his driving to Parma seemed to consist entirely of a "heads down" instruments approach, while the rest of us were in totally heads-up mode. The up side was that this gave us something to tease him about. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
