[T3] Gauges, mount points, and which ones.

<x-flowed>
So, when I eventually get my '67 square back from the shop, I hope to install some temp gauges and a tach and stuff.
and I'm wondering what's out there, and what's available, and where to mount them.

The main question that I couldn't get much from the archive about was:

Where do folks like to mount their gauges? It seems like center console, or on top center on the dash, are two common options.
I would like to see more examples of center console positions, and would be very interested to see any tricky combination gauges in the existing locations.

I'm hoping to have a tach, an oil temp gauge, [ possibly two, one from before the cooler and one after. ], cylinder head gauge,
and oil pressure gauge.

I've scavenged the archives using the now well placed search links, and here's what I've gleaned.

For Tachometer's there are a lot of used options: ( http://neil.us/type3/tach/ ), these tend to fit in the clock location,
guess I can hunt on ebay for them. or I could put the VDO one in. (from my reading I think it fits)
of course it would be cooler to have a style that more matched the original gauges.

For the other gauges I didn't see any reference to anything other than VDO gauges. Are there other options?
any combined gauges?

With respects to where to put the sensors.
I didn't understand what was meant mounting the oil temp sensor "on top of the oil cooler" which seemed
to be stated as the "best place"
how is this done? I thought the oil cooler was basically connected by being pressed against the case.
do you have to get an alternate oil cooler that has hookups for sensors?

I assume the oil pressure sensor can mount any where the oil temp sensor mounts, possibly requiring
a tee connector to put both on.

For the cylinder head sensor, it sounds like the best place is the number 3 cylinder head, and that there
are sensors that go around the spark plug.
