Remove the battery ground strap and maybe even remove the battery if you think you are more likely to recharge it occasionally if it is stored somewhere else. Drain fluid from the washer bottle. Park it with the parking brake OFF. Block the wheels if it's on a slope. I have mixed feelings about trying to start it occasionally. That certainly throws oil around everywhere, which is good, but it also introduces water into everything, since water is a normal combustion byproduct. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Shameless link for search engines: http://listarchive.type3.org ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
