If you looked at my photo album at Hershey, you'll see that my Notch was
sprayed like that. If you're using a BC/CC system, then this isn't a problem
(other than space). The reason is the base is the color, the shine comes from the
clear.

This is why I prefer to spray late in the year, or early in the spring. I
actually painted the Notch in January (complete with 2.5 feet of snow outside),
just to get a bug free paint job. If you're using a BC/CC system, then you can
paint it a section at a time. You just need to make sure you mix it
thoroughly, so you keep the color the same thru out the job. Solid colors aren't a
problem, but metalics are another story. I hope this helps.
