Thanks for the advice so far on my oil cooler seal leak. Here's my problem. I do not have a garage or access to one, so pulling the entire engine will be difficult if not impossible (gravel driveway). I know that working with the engine in the car is difficult. I got a taste of it when I tried yesterday to do this job and realized that I was in over my head. I do need to know if I have the right seals. I have a gasket and seal kit manufactured by Victor Reinz that is supposed to contain all of the seals and gaskets for my '73 fastback. The serial number on my engine is X0015582. The kit contains 2 green rubber seals. Are these correct? I'd hate to go through all of this and find out that I have the wrong seals. Also, my e-mail is jbrig@enter.net . I would be greatly appreciative if someone could e-mail me the oil cooler seal FAQ that I've been hearing about. Thanks everyone for your help so far!
