I'm sure this varies somewhat depending on our email software, but I find that my program defaults to whatever is in the Reply to: header in the message. It appears that some of us have configured our software to insert our names here. It appears that our listserver will insert the header entry "Reply to: type3@vwtype3.org," UNLESS there is already an entry there. If there is already an entry there, it just leaves the old one there. The end result is that people who were more thorough in their email software configuration end up causing this kind of problem. I was one of those until I figured this out, so I went back and made that entry blank. Dave, you're actually one of the people who have your "Reply to:" header configured. Steve Ayres does too, but there are several of you out there. Since it really doesn't seem to help anything, I recommend that you just make that entry blank. It's a hard problem for most of us to notice, because it hardly ever causes problems for ourselves, only for others. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Shameless link for search engines: http://listarchive.type3.org ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
