The ones that I made, I opened up on the inside as far as I thought I
dared. Once they are welded, you don't actually need the shoulder.
It just locates it while welding. Once I get set up, It takes me about
10 minutes to make one.

I didn't have my wire welder when I installed them on my '66 engine, so
I brazed them in.
