Is this an auto? If not, tow it front up; if yes, remove the drive shafts and tow it front up. There's some guys with a dire story of towing with back raised. Check tyres are OK, and stop after a few miles and re-check everything. If towing with all four wheels on ground (and auto drive-shafts removed) a solid bar would be easier for that (any) distance and someone steering of course. Check that's OK from an insurance point of view. Dave. (I don't if a friend's trailer will be available.) The dolly is less expensive than the transporter, but I haven't towed an ACVW for more than 15 miles front wheels down, and that was in-town, 45 mph. I am thinking it would be safer to spend the extra $$ and get the transporter unless anyone here can recommend the dolly and any tips you used to tow successfully. > > Thanks. > > Justin > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > >
