I am a bit unsure about what your asking, but both the high and low back
seats "click in place" for safety. The difference between the high
backs and low backs, other than the headrest of course, was the
mechanism for releasing the latch to move the seat backs forward for
access to the rear area. The low back seats used a cable system that
would release the seat when the respective door was opened, while the
high back seats used a lever/cable to release the latch. For the low
and high back seats I have the releases suck and I pretty much have to
reach under the seat to manually open the latch.
