I think it should be possible to up the displacement and still use the FI, but 
I haven't done it. A number of people have tried, but the results have been 
less than stellar.

You CAN go to 87mm, but the real answer is that any oversize bore that will 
have any longevity at all will require machining of both the case and the 
heads. In other words, to do this right is a big deal and requires a complete 
engine rebuild. 

DON'T buy a JC Whitney drop-in Big Bore kit unless you want to do it all over 
again next year.
