I appreciate the advice, Aaron. But could you please be more specific? Which red wire? And on what kind of round connector on the battery?

Well, my car is a '71 with a '72 wiring harness. The red wire that gives the FI system its juice runs straight from the battery if I can recall correctly. That wire was held by one copper thread to the round plate that screws into the battery terminal contact. I wasn't saying so much that this one wire was your problem, just that if you want to eliminate electrical issues it might be worth your while to go through and double-check all your electronic connections. Make sure they're clean, connected well, and are grounded properly.
