<x-flowed>Ill be willing to bet that its the spot between the accelerator pump rod an the top arm of your accelorator linkage. It tends to get sloppy over time and this is why later carbs have the adjustment for the pump. When I drove the notch it seemed fine to me. I dont think the hesitation in your car is nothing more than getting used to that slop.

So what should I take a look at first, the carb or dizzy and what should I
look for? When I rebuilt the carb it appeared that everything was in order
per the Elfrink maual. I worked on the car for about an hour today, starts
and idles great but I still have the hesitation problem.
