One of those modifications mentions cutting the gasket that goes over the power circuit cover (the little cover on top with two screws)- after I did that on my '65 my hesitation problems disappeared. There were also several parts missing from the accelerator pump / power circuit as well which I had to end up making.


I would say a lot of hesitation problems you hear about them are from lazy mechanics that don't put them back together properly or leave bits out.
