Day 99: The Confusion Continues I just want to double check that I'm on the right track here. When the timing light is clipped to the main HV wire it won't flash as the engine is turned over. If this same wire is grounded the light does flash. Everything is working here except that the distributor isn't closing the circuit, right? Be it cap, rotor, condensor, points or diz itself this is where the link gets broken? I've now tried new points and condensor on two previously good distributors. I've checked double-checked and triple-checked my cap and rotor, point gap, timing and firing order. The SP wires all give me about 1000 Ohms and the coil to diz HV wire gives me 0 ohms resistance. It's just got to be the distributor somehow, doesn't it?
