Thanks for the carb manual, I have never seen this before. > You are right I have never checked here for parts. I just found out today > that it existed. I recently found out that I had a bosh 009 which explained a lot of hesitations I experience. I found out after I started messing around with my carbs as well and screwed the synch. Look at your dizzy and see how many things are attached to the outside of it. If there is only a cylindrical piece (condenser) with a wire on it then it's an 009. If it has the cylindrical piece plus a bigger conical piece (vacuum canister), then it isn't. This is an 009 http://www2.cip1.com/photos/ACC-C10-5799-2T.jpg And this one is a vacumm advanced: http://www2.cip1.com/photos/VWC-043-905-205-2T.jpg > > The right carb was working great and now since I have been doing some > adjustments both sides are not running so good. So do you think I should > not spend the money on some new carbs and just get the ones I have tuned? There are some good sites that have information about adjusting dual carbs which helped me a lot to get started. Here are a couple: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/t3dualcarbtuning/index.php (This link used to work but somehow it isn't now, you may want to send the Webmaster - Everett - feedback to get the link fixed: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/contact.php ) The other link is: http://aircooled.net/gnrlsite/resource/articles/dualcarb.htm (Although this is not Type III specific it will still help you understand the process.)
