You will have the same problems with the Weber, Delorto, or what other carbs you try to install. You will need to fiddle with them too, to get them to run right. Especially on a stock engine. Most of the aftermarket carb kits are for engines that have had a size increase. http://classicvw.org/start3.jpg This is the Factory bulletin for hesitations. I also have the complete factory manual for the fuel system up thru 1972. I just don't have it scanned an posted yet. http://classicvw.org/fuel/ Here is a list of the manual for the fuel system that I have scanned and converted to PDF file. The 6.7m one is the most complete for the carbs. By any chance is the distributor in this engine an "009", the one with no vacuum advance?? If so, the problem may be the distributor and not the carbs. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '65 T1 (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
