Three questions: How do you remove the top part of the distributor shaft (the part advanced by the centrifugal advance) in a stock FI Bosch unit? It looks like it is held in by a circlip of some type, but I'm damned if I know how to undo it. Is it generally necessary to clean and grease this part (it's in good shape but all the old lube is dried out)? Speaking of grease, what do people recommend for lubricating the distributor? Grease, silicone spray....? Finally, is a Bosch SVDA FI distributor a good replacement for a 009 on a stock twin carb motor and if so, any particular model? I have a bunch of SVDA units of varying vintages (with FI triggers) that I would like to use in place of the 009 currently on my carbed motor.
