Thanks Jim! It's good you are here to keep us Type 3 newbie's in line. I wonder how many type 3's you are directly or indirectly responsible for keeping on the road? Hmmmmm. I smell a new thread. We call this the overflow hose even though that's not it's function. These hoses are ALWAYS cracked. They are NLA, but they MUST be fixed somehow. It doesn't matter much what you do, but you must replace this part with some kind of hose that takes its place. If you don't, gas will continue to spill out, and dirt and water will get pumped in. Both things are bad. Fix it. ;-) -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
