Bad news. > > It's also possible that the bolts have loosened. No. I did tighten them up, but it didn't make any difference. While I was working on it, I noticed that the base of the boss where the oil pressure switch screws in is cracked (this might be partly my fault, but the the less said the better). I took the car for a short test drive, and couldn't see any leak from there. Even so, I suppose this means I should change the oil cooler. What's more, there is at least one engine-tin screw that ain't going nowhere, and it's in a very inaccessible place, more or less in front of the right-hand carb, right under where the balance tube pipe goes to the auto-tranny. It looks like the engine has to come out, and while it's out, I'm going to change those screws for hex-head bolts, and also take the opportunity to replace the muffler. Is there anything else I should be thinking of doing while the engine is out?
