I have heard this, that the Type 3 tranny is geared higher (allowing better 
highway cruising, as I understand it?)...

How different are the gear ratios, and what effect would that have on using 
the "wrong" transmission?  Would using a T3 transaxle in a T1 be an 
"upgrade"? How bad would it really be to use a T1 tranny in a T3? (I ask 
out of curiousity as I have a few spare T1 trannys)...
