There is tool made for cleaning out sink drains call a Zip-It. It's a long piece of plastic with teeth on it. You push it down a drain and pull it back out. The teeth catch hair of other gunk and the stuff comes out. It's about $3 at most home and plumbing stores. It's about 18 inches long and should reach these spaces. This is a great tool for cleaning out leaves and other gunk in fresh air boxes. There is a free alternative, however it's metal and could scratch metal or cut rubber. On the edge of wax paper boxes is a metal toothed piece of aluminum for cutting the wax paper. Remove it from the box, and you have a tool. Jeff '67 Sqbk -----Original Message----- There's no easy way. you can clean out some of the stuff with long tweezers or chopsticks thru the louvers in front of the windshield. You should pull out the long drain hose and clean it out; you can actually also remove the short hose and clean it out, too. And you can get a wire into the airbox from there and sweep out some stuff once the short hose is removed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
