What if you don't have any of the FI parts? Would putting a set of carb kits into a pair of 10 swap meet specials be worth doing? I think so. I did this on my son's car, and they work great. I haven't driven it long enough (he won't let me) : ) so I can't tell you his fuel mileage yet. On my Roadster, I did the same thing with it, but I also haven't driven it yet as I'm still working on getting it to stop first (getting close now). I don't really think they give you less power, and my Webers are very reliable and don't require any maintenance other than maybe an air cleaner element cleaning (need to do that one of these days). My Solexes on the other cars don't really require any added work either, although I normally check them for piece of mind. Just some food for thought.
