Yup, my Notch gets 27.5 with the Weber 34 ICTs, and a dreaded 009 distributor 
(a german one though). I haven't had to "fiddle" with them in over 5 years, 
and they were previously on another car for 2 of those 5. In fact 2 years ago I 
had to adjust the points for the first time in 3 years of running that engine.
But he's also correct that if you have a complete unmolested FI, you should 
keep it. All of mine had been previously removed before I got the car. In fact 
my 71 didn't even have an engine in it, let alone any of the FI parts. Just to 
show you not all of us are FI equipped. : )
