> I say again, an after-market mount would be clamped to the lower arms > like the stock T1 units. Or someone would win a lottery and mill a I bought one just like this off the shelf at a VWFLAPS in L.A. in... 1991, I believe. Installed it on my '71 Squareback, along with aa rear bar. They looked it up in the then-current EMPI catalog and I bought it over-the-counter. My buddies would giggle in terror (figure that one out) as I would barrel through corners in downtown Ann Arbor -- even with 165-15's and at stock ride height. Now, of course, the bars are in a corner of the garage, as our '69 Square is a Sensible Family Car. I keep eyeing them, though... maybe the solution is to get like a bright orange '71-'72 Fastback with a Type IV motor. :-D (What was that you were saying about winning the lottery, Toby?) -Greg ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
