Greg, The first year of the gas door was 1968. The early body style (sloping hood compared to later more pointy hood) was used through 1969 with 1970 receiving the new pointier look. 1968 also had a finger indention in the fender to open the gas door from the outside. 1969 the indention was removed and a remote latch release was mounted inside just under the right side of the dash.
