So the hole must have been in the rocker/"A" pillar, and rusted out. Must have been really low down then, most of my "A"pillar was still there, and I don't remember any hole. And of course the rust progressed from the hole taking the rest of the rocker with it :-( So the wiring harness really was inside the rocker, hmmm....
