Anyone have the aluminum body side trim from CIP on their Type 3? With Sophy getting close to being painted, her old dinged up side trim just won't look right with the fresh new paint. Just wondering about the quality of the trim and the end treatments. http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=C16%2D311%2D111 They also offer a fender beading kit specific to Type 3s with 3 different profiles for the various parts of the interface. It is only in black, but I am sure I could paint it to match Sophy's new coat of paint. Some of her original VW Blue beading is just in really rough shape...cracked and discolored.
