I've seen belts with that large thread on the fitting (usually a large ring) but all the later ones have the 'odd'-sized 7/16" bolt, with a head that's not quite 18 mm across (over here anyway). Later ones here have the same 7/16" thread of course, but the head is now 17mm for metric tools. Are your seat belt bolts still somewhere around 16mm or have they now 'standardised' internationally with metric head and imperial thread? Dave.
