[T3] Fuel leak?

<x-flowed>Hi all.
I recently noticed a new water leak in the front passenger's side foot 
well of my 68 Square. The leak is basically where the wheel well meets 
the floor, but inside the car. I dried it out with a fan, but by 
driving in the rain, it came back. I then investigated a bit further 
and found that my fuel filler neck in the wheel well was damp with 
fuel. I then parked it and began driving another car until I had time 
to look at it.

Before I got spelunking under the car and all, does this sound eerily 
familiar to anyone? Are there any common rubber failures I should start 
with, or should I begin by pulling the cardboard in the bonnet and 
checking out the fuel tank?
