In trying to fix my heat related flooding problem I'm going through the tune up procedure. I knocked a ground wire loose for the ECU. I have no idea how since I wasn't anywhere near that wire. Anyway I fixed that. Now I'm trying to do the points. Muir says to hook up the meter to the #1 contact on the coil. They're not labeled!! He say the one going to the distributor. There's two!! Does he mean the one with the condensor wire? I'm guessing that is the one since the other one would proably fry the meter. Anyway I do that. I set the swithches on the meter to the appropriate positions and start the car. It barely moves. I check the book and it says that if it is too low that the points are too far open. Well I check it with the feeler guage and they are definately not. What's the deal?
