I really haven't looked closely at it, but it seems likely that a good invasion route from the west and northwest would be via I-80, and I-90 joins in around Chicago. If we picked up people along the way there are a couple of places that might be very interesting to stop along the way. Two that I'd like to visit are the Studebaker Museum in South Bend, Indiana: http://www.studebakermuseum.org/frames.htm The museum is about 3 miles from the toll road. and the Auburn, Cord, Duesenburg Museum in Auburn, Indiana: http://www.acdmuseum.org/ The museum is about 30 miles from the toll road. Both would involve detours from the Indiana Toll Road, but would be the kind of places that most people would only get to see once in a lifetime. Even though I'm a Hoosier, I've never been to either. Check out the web sites above and let me know if you're interested. If there's enough interest, we could plan stops there. They both seem to offer group rates, and the regular rates seem pretty reasonable ($6.50 & $8.00 for adults.) Even if you're not interested in slowing down for something like this, I'd still like to know how many people think they will be coming to the invasion via I-80/90. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
